ONDANSETRON

Ondansetron is a medication used to prevent  and treat nausea and vomiting.  It works by blocking the action of serotonin, a natural substance that may cause nausea and vomiting. IV (intravenous) ondansetron offers quicker relief than the oral medication because it goes directly to the bloodstream, rather than passing through the digestive tract first, allowing maximum absorption.  People suffering from nausea and vomiting related to chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and/or recent surgery may benefit from ondansetron.

May be added on to IV drip on the day of service!
